Ascoltare questo EP è come fare un tuffo nel passato. Credo fosse proprio questo l'intento del duo Parigino Venice Beach quando hanno composto "Reworks". Infatti l'A-side dell'EP è un'immersione nella Disco Music mentre il B-side ci porta nella musica della prima metà degli anni 80 in cui c'era largo uso di tastiere. Davvero un bel lavoro quello dei Venice Beach, "Reworks" è sicuramente un Must Have nella vostra collezione. Enjoy ;)

Un remix davvero bello quello che Jet I Nite ha realizzato sulla base di "Darlin'" dei Delegation. Non ha stravolto l'originale, anzi, ha eliminato la parte vocale per far risaltare gli archi ed i riff Funky di chitarra e basso. Il risultato è una gioia per le orecchie, non vi resta che ascoltarla. ;)

Eccovi una canzone un pò vecchia, risalente ad un anno fa. Purtroppo l'ho scoperta in ritardo, così come ho scoperto che chi l'ha prodotta, Rockets, ha smesso di produrre musica. Non conosco le ragioni di questa sua scelta ma, avendo ascoltato alcune sue produzioni, posso dire che è un peccato. Su dai ora però premete il tasto play e ascoltate la sua "Club Monsieur" e, se vi piace, lasciate un commento sulla sua pagina... così magari cambia idea e ritorna a produrre!! ;)

Mi è sempre piaciuta questa canzone. Lanciata nel 1979 dai mitici Chic, "I Want Your Love" è stato un successo internazionale e sono contento che ancora oggi ogni tanto qualcuno ci mette la mani sopra e ne fa uscire un remix o, in questo caso, un Re-Edit. Grazie mille a Funkyjaws che ha riproposto questo classico (senza però stravolgerlo) e regalandoci il download gratuito. Buon Ascolto ;)

I have always liked this song. Launched in 1979 by the legendary Chic, "I Want Your Love" was an international success and I'm glad someone still occasionally puts his hands on it and it brings out a remix, or in this case, a Re-Edit. Many thanks to Funkyjaws who revived this classic (without distorting) and give us also on free download. Good Listening ;)

Todd Terry è una garanzia, non sarebbe necessaria nessuna spiegazione per questo post ma vi darò lo stesso qualche info su questa traccia fantastica. "Keep on Jumpin'" venne rilasciata nel 1978 dalla band Musique, band tutta al femminile già famosa per il loro ambiguo singolo "In The Bush". 19 anni dopo Todd Terry realizza la sua versione in salsa house del più grande successo delle Musique, "Keep on Jumpin'" appunto! Questa è la versione "Tee's MT Freeze Radio", Buon Divertimento ;)

"Keep on Jumpin '" was released in 1978 by the band Musique, all-female band already known for their ambiguous single "In The Bush". 19 years after Todd Terry realized his house version of Musique's biggest hit, "Keep On Jumpin '" indeed, with the collaboration of two voices like those of Martha Walsh and Jocelyn Brown (the latter was one of the Musique! ). ! Lunedì 7 Novembre: ricordate questa data perchè è il giorno in cui verrà rilasciato il nuovo album di Surkin dal titolo "USA" (per la casa discografica Marble Music).
